The tournament will bring together single golfers from around the world for friendly competitions and social events.

The idea for the singles golf tournament came when several members of the online dating website www.DateAGolfer.com suggested it would be a great way to meet other single golfers. “Our members are always telling us how much they love to travel and meet other single golfers,” says Mike Wyman, co-owner of DateAGolfer.com. “People kept asking us if we would consider doing a singles golf tournament. When we surveyed our members we found there was a high level of interest for such an singles golf tournament.”

Myrtle Beach is well known as a favorite golf destination by golfers all over the world. Single golfers who participate in the tournament will have ample time to test their skills on any of the 100 or more golf courses in Myrtle Beach along with designated tournament outings.

“We are unaware of any other International Singles Golf Tournament ever having been held,” says Gary Kelly, co-owner of DateAGolfer.com. “We have aggressively searched the Internet and not found a single reference to this sort of event. We thought it would be a real value added service to offer our members and other single golfers something that has never been done before.”
