New CD-ROM on Voith Fill-controlled Fluid Couplings

Explanation of the principle of hydrodynamic power transmission in Voith fill-controlled fluid couplings
Voith fill-controlled couplings handle the most difficult drive requirements in a variety of applications in the conveying and processing fields. Belt conveyor systems up to several kilometers long, armored face conveyors (AFC) for underground coal mining operations, heavy-duty shredders, such as those used in metal recycling, and ball mills used in material processing are the main fields of applications for this type of coupling. Voith couplings transmit from a few 100 kW up to several megawatts of power. They ensure controlled acceleration of the driven machine, effectively dampen shocks and vibrations in the drive line, adjust the speed precisely and, in addition, provide effective overload protection. They can be used to easily incorporate a clutching function and provide active load sharing in multi-motor drives.
Voith Turbo has designed the CD-ROM with the view point of the customer in mind: In addition to introducing "Fill-controlled Fluid Couplings" as a product together with the basic principles of operation, examples of applications illustrate the benefits and advantages of using Voith couplings in drive lines. The result is a state-of-the-art multimedia CD-ROM with attractive, speaker-guided animations in either English or German. Starting the various applications is simple and intuitive, installation on the computer is not necessary; however, the operating system must be Windows XP or higher. The CD-ROM can be ordered at www.voithturbo.com/startup-components.
Voith Turbo, the specialist for hydrodynamic drive, coupling and braking systems for road, rail and industrial applications, as well as for ship propulsion systems, is a Group Division of Voith AG.

Detailed explanation of multi-core cables - Industry Trends and Best Practices
When it comes to modern networking and communications, Ethernet and fiber optic cables [https://www.softeloptic.com/fiber-optical-cable/] tend to dominate the cable category. Their high-speed data transmission capabilities make them an integral part of internet connectivity and network infrastructure. However, multi-core cables are equally important across many industries, supporting a wide range of applications, powering and controlling essential systems in buildings, automation, and security. This article explores the role of multi-core cables in…
How does GPS tracking work? A simple explanation.
GPS tracking has become an indispensable tool for companies and private individuals.
It provides real-time location data, enabling smarter decisions, improved efficiency and more security in various operations. But how exactly does it work? Let us explain it in more detail.
What is GPS tracking?
GPS tracking uses a satellite network to determine the exact location of a device on earth. Modern Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), including GPS (USA), Galileo (Europe) and…
Detailed explanation of the internal structure of the thermos bottle
1. Thermal Insulation Principle of Thermos BottleThe thermal insulation principle of the thermos bottle is vacuum insulation. The thermos flask has two layers of copper-plated or chromium-plated glass shells inside and outside, with a vacuum layer in the middle. The existence of vacuum prevents heat from being transferred through conduction, convection, radiation, etc., thus achieving the thermal insulation effect. At the same time, the lid of the thermos bottle is…
Explanation of SPCC cold rolled steel grades
1 name definition
SPCC [https://www.ehongsteel.com/crc-factory-dc01-dc02-dc03-spcc-cold-rolled-steel-plate-q235-spcc-cold-rolled-steel-plate-product/] was originally the Japanese standard (JIS) "general use of cold rolled carbon steel sheet [https://www.ehongsteel.com/crc-factory-dc01-dc02-dc03-spcc-cold-rolled-steel-plate-q235-spcc-cold-rolled-steel-plate-product/] and strip" steel name, now many countries or enterprises directly used to indicate their own production of similar steel. Note: similar grades are SPCD (cold-rolled carbon steel sheet and strip for stamping), SPCE (cold-rolled carbon steel sheet and strip for deep drawing), SPCCKSPCCCE, etc. (special steel for TV sets), SPCC4DSPCC8D, etc.…

Explanation of Common Defects in ERW Welded Pipes
Explanation of common defects in ERW welded pipes:
Undercut
Undercut is a groove that appears along the centerline of the weld in the transition area between the edge of the weld and the pipe body. Undercut occurs when welding speed, current, voltage and other conditions are not properly matched.
lap welding
The upper and lower edges of the steel plate are misaligned and butted, resulting in uneven welds, which become pipe seam misalignment or…
