Conversion Talent Publishes Results of its Salary Survey 2017 for Digital Positions

Conversion Talent, Belgium’s number one in digital recruitment & customer experience consultancy, conducted a survey to research the the state of the digital marketing sector by asking for data from those who work at the heart of it. The survey was open to all digital marketing professionals working in Belgium and Europe. More than 500 responses were received in August 2017.

Key findings include:
Freelance is the trend: Freelancers can potentially earn twice as much as permanent employees if they have a constant stream of work which leads to a substantial shift in digital marketers going from payroll status to freelance status.
The automotive industry is the most lucrative for freelancers as they can earn more than 50% above average daily rates
All-rounders like digital marketers and project managers generally have higher income than those who specialise in fields like e-communication, e-commerce or web analysis
Brussels is still the place with the highest salaries for permanent employees, but freelancers can get higher daily rates in Antwerp

The survey data put current salaries, benefits and other related information into perspective and compares freelance and permanent salaries. The results show that there is a trend towards becoming a freelancer and that they can potentially earn much more than permanent employees. Generally, the results of the survey show that salaries depend on various factors such as location, age, industry or years of experience.
