Press release from: Informa India

Cinex Asia 2009, taking place in Mumbai between 19th – 21st November, is India’s only trade exhibition dedicated to production, post-production, distribution and exhibition within the film and television industries.

FEBRUARY 2009, MUMBAI: Informa, organisers of global mega-events including the Monaco Yacht Show, Cityscape, 3GSM and Leaders in India, have launched the country’s only international business-to-business exhibition dedicated to the internal market within the film and television industry.

To be held in Mumbai, the commercial capital of India and home to the world’s most prolific film industry, Cinex Asia is a world class 3-day business-to-business exhibition with highly focused conferences, seminars and panel discussions. The event will provide an unprecedented opportunity for India and South Asia’s thousands of senior cinema and television production executives to find the best solutions, services and technologies from the international vendor community, as well as access and engage in highly relevant and useful information exchange with regional and international counterparts. These include producers and production executives, directors, creative directors, screenwriters, artists, editors and cinematographers.

Cinex Asia thereby also offers significant profiling and brand building opportunities to both domestic and international firms, as well as to consumer brands seeking to extend their reach within the lucrative Indian film, television and media industries.

“Cinex is a focused trade platform of international standards, that will also showcase the immense possibilities, talent, and strengths of the Indian entertainment industry to a global audience. The event will enable Indian professionals, buyers and end users to interact with their international counterparts, as well as access the most cutting edge solutions and services, that have not always been easily available in India” says Piccolo Sood, Principal Consultant, Cinex Asia.

Cinex Asia will also feature the high level ‘Cinex Asia Summit’, which will include seminars and panel discussions led by both Indian and international experts and personalities. These will include financiers, directors, producers, actors, screenwriters and government officials.
