LANXESS wins “Best stall award” at Asia’s largest Rubber Expo 2009
LANXESS India Private Limited won the "Best Stall Award" at Asia's largest Rubber Expo 2009 held at Kolkata from January 28 to 31 2009.
At the exposition, LANXESS demonstrated its innovative products, legacy, strengths and successes, and reinforced confidence amongst visitors to associate with LANXESS as a partner of choice. The exhibition stall depicted the company’s focus on customers and its ability to keep pace with the changing times.
LANXESS stall won the best stall award in the raw space category above 50 sqm. At the expo, all the stalls were judged by Mr. S.K. Ghosh from Capexil, a non-profit making organization set up by India's Ministry of Commerce to promote export of Chemical and Allied Products from India, and Mr. T.K. Chaki from IIT Kharagpur.
Dr. Joerg Strassburger, Managing Director and Country Representative of LANXESS India Private Limited said: "The exhibition was a great success for LANXESS through abundant interactions with existing and prospective customers. The award is considered to be extremely valuable. We are delighted with the award as it is a recognition of our work and our increased commitment towards the chemical industry”.
LANXESS India Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of LANXESS AG is a leading supplier of Performance Polymers, Advanced Intermediates and Performance Chemicals. Operating from its registered office in Thane in Maharashtra, the core business of LANXESS India is the development, manufacture and sale of specialty chemicals for rubber, leather, pharmaceuticals, coloring, surface coating, water treatment and crop protection. Presently, LANXESS India has its manufacturing unit in Madurai. It has offices in Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. LANXESS India will have a new ION Exchange Resins plant in Jhagadia (Gujarat) by 2010. With the good infrastructure and lowered cost of production, the proposed state-of-the-art plant will give LANXESS a competitive edge globally.

LANXESS and Chinese tire company Triangle strengthen partnership
German specialty chemicals company LANXESS and one of China’s largest tire companies Triangle Group have further strengthened their long-term partnership. Both companies have signed an agreement under which LANXESS will supply Triangle with premium halobutyl rubbers from 2012-2014. Financial details were not disclosed.
