Cologne (Germany), 04 February 2009 — The GSMA Mobile World Congress (formerly 3GSM World Congress) combines the world's largest exhibition for the mobile industry with a stimulating and insightful congress that brings together prominent leaders and personalities from mobile operators and equipment vendors, as well as Internet and entertainment professionals. mobivention, one of the leading mobile content providers, is again exhibiting at the Mobile World Congress. For the fifth consecutive year mobivention is where the industry defines its future and creates business. The company believes in the still growing mobile content & service market. According to Juniper Research the mobile entertainment market has the potential to reach $76 billion by 2011. This is in line with the annual revenue growth of mobivention which accounted for approximately 20% in 2008.

During the Mobile World Congress mobivention is presenting product innovations and new product launches. This year’s highlights of the mobivention exhibition are the following topics:
- Flash Lite content utilizing accelerator/ motion sensor
- Panels
- Widgets
- Wap shops

One highlight of the exhibition are Flash Lite based Flash Lite wallpapers & screensavers. With wallpapers and screensavers based on Flash Lite it is feasible to complete background images with active components. Old style animations have been upgraded by Flash Lite animations which offer a much higher frame rate and a smaller file size than normal animations in GIF format. The normal static background wallpaper has been upgraded by Flash Lite Timebased wallpapers which are changing three times a day and presenting each time a different background wallpaper. The latest innovations are Shaking wallpaper which are using the motion sensor or accelerator in mobile phones to make personalisation richer and easier.

Panels are the new interface at Sony Ericsson touch screens. These interactive panels offer a rich mobile user experience, allowing different functions and in-formation at the fingertip of the user.

Widgets are web based services which are offering a suite of different little ‘helpers’ such as news, real-time stock prices, maps all through a rich user interface.

mobivention offers its customers pre-defined WAP shops which can be easily integrated in any kind of WAP portal. The WAP shops are customizable to achieve a complete integration in the customer’s existing portal look & feel. mobivention also offers content (brand) specific WAP shops e.g. for Hello Kitty content.
