Proxicast Releases New IPSec VPN Client for Windows
TheGreenBow, a leading developer of enterprise security software for computer and mobile devices, has provided its OEM VPN technology to Proxicast’s IPSec VPN Client software for Windows to be deployed with Proxicast’s LAN-Cell series of 3G cellular routers.
“Proxicast’s LAN-Cell 2 has the most advanced and flexible VPN capabilities of any 3G router on the market today. The LAN Cell 2 has routing and security features typically found only in wired corporate routers costing thousands more, yet it is priced competitively with stand-alone cellular modems,” says Proxicast COO James B. Sabol. “Integrating TheGreenBow’s technology into our new IPSec VPN Client software for Windows allows our remote users to tap the LAN-Cell’s security capabilities with minimal effort.”
The LAN-Cell’s built in ICSA-certified VPN software eliminates the need to configure individual devices and extends secure corporate networks to remote devices that cannot run VPN client software. The LAN-Cell 2 supports 5 simultaneous IPSec tunnels, military grade DES, 3DES, AES256 encryption, XAUTH, CMP / SCEP, X.509 / PKCS#12 digital certificates and more.

The Proxicast VPN Client provides full IPSec and IKE support, strong network authentication, strong network encryption through DES, 3DES, AES and RSA, support for multiple connection types like DSL, Cable, cellular and Wi-Fi and multiple simultaneous tunnels. Other VPN Client features such as Dynamic DNS support eliminates need for static IP’s on either end of the VPN tunnel.
The VPN Configuration Wizard in the Proxicast IPSec VPN Client software complements VPN Wizard in LAN Cell 3G router’s firmware. Remote users can setup a VPN connection in under a minute with just a few parameters in each wizard. The Proxicast VPN Client software for Windows is also interoperable with hundreds of other IPSec hardware and software solutions from other leading security vendors.
The Proxicast IPSec VPN Client is available for all 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows. A fully functional 30 day evaluation copy can be downloaded from Proxicast’s web site and is also available on the Product Support CD included with every LAN-Cell 3G cellular router.
