Wireless Collaboration Systems Change Work Culture

Wireless Collaboration Systems Change Work Culture

Digital meetings are independent from locations or geographies, increase productivity and motivate through BYOD

Collaboration is no longer a buzzword but evolves to a way of conducting business. This new work culture is characterized by more frequent and informal meetings. Wireless collaboration enables the brief, ad hoc exchange with important conversation partners and simultaneous work on data, independent from people’s locations. This unlimited, easy exchange of ideas and information boosts motivation, saves time, and increases productivity.

As long as people continue to work on computers and mobile devices, collaboration by simply streaming of content will be central. Single-threaded wireless presentations are replaced by Multi-threaded collaboration. A paradigmatic change.

Parallel to the change of the work culture, the functions and equipment of communication rooms is changing. A new form emerges, huddle rooms for quick meetings, in addition to prestigious conference rooms. Technical equipment and IT security need to keep pace and provide appropriate solutions in conference, presentation and training rooms.

Wireless Collaboration is a well-engineered technology. However, the available systems differ significantly with regard to investment, easy integration, user-friendliness and future viability.

Mersive Technologies Inc. provides one of the solutions which answer these expectations to a great extent. The Solstice products provide wireless collaboration solutions that work seamlessly over existing WiFi or Ethernet networks. The initial installation of the small pod is simple and equipped with IT-friendly configuration options. Immediately, Solstice lets an unlimited number of people work simultaneously on a common display with any device (tablet, PC, smartphone) and operating system (Windows, OSX, Android, Apple iOS). There is no limitation to content volume. The communication experience is almost identical to the situation of conventional meetings.

From In-Room to Multi-Room solutions, enabling worldwide collaboration

For the first time, content can be shared across different rooms, locations, even geographies. The new development “Multi-Room” Solstice 3.0 enables unlimited collaboration via VTC and AV systems. The upgrade to Multi-Room does not require additional hardware.

Data security and BYOD can be implemented without additional expenditure

The use of own devices is characteristic for this new work culture. BYOD - Bring Your Own Device is not merely a high motivation factor for digital natives. Companies benefit from lower investment , availability of always latest technical equipment, as well as for their employer branding.

Companies allowing BYOD face the risk of data loss and damage from malware to their valuable data and IT integrity. Currently, Solstice is the only collaboration system in the market providing the option of dual network mode.

The Solstice POD generates a stand-alone, independent network for collaboration without any access to company data. As the company network and the collaboration network can work independently side by side, even a secure collaboration from both resources is possible. This enables authorized users with access to sensitive data collaborate with guests or colleagues using own devices on the stand-alone network.

PureLink GmbH in Germany is exclusive distributor for Solstice products in the German speaking countries.

CEO Christian Ahrens: „In all resprects a professional concept to the core. The initial investment, and costs for future updates are absolutely manageable. On the international trade fairs ISE and InfoComm 2017, the branch awarded the Solstice 3.0 Multi-Room solution several „Best of Show“ prizes. Highly rewarded.“
