Minicom Unveils Fully-Digital AV Extender at Integrated Systems Europe

Zurich, Switzerland (January 28th, 2009) – Minicom Digital Signage, the leader in “last mile” player-to-screen connectivity platforms for the digital signage market, will be displaying for the first time in Europe, its new, fully-digital DS Vision® HDMI, at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show in Amsterdam, taking place at the RAI Centre on 3 - 5 February, 2009.

The unique DS Vision® HDMI not only extends but also distributes real-time, high-definition digital AV from a single player to multiple screens located up to 250 meters/825 feet away. “This is the perfect solution for digital advertising in retail locations, informative communication in corporate settings or in quick service restaurants where screens strategically repeat content,” says Amir Ginossar, Minicom’s Product Manager. “Distribution is done by cascaded repeaters that transmit the signal from one screen to the next. And all this is performed over a single, low density, CAT5 cable. This simple, smart solution will help customers save costs and simplify installation“.
