Silkroad 4.0 European IoT Tour Launched

Vienna, August 7, 2017 - The team behind Silkroad 4.0 has officially launched European IoT Tour. Traveling on two motorcycles, a team of explorers will visit 14 European countries promoting IoT and other latest technology and identifying interesting technologies that still remain hidden. The countries visited during the Tour will be: Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Switzerland.

The main goal of the travel is to explore the situation in the sector across the continent and find out what are the current challenges the countries are facing when it comes to digitalization. To that end the team will conduct interviews with stakeholders varying form Internet of Things (IoT) experts to governmental officials on the topics of IoT, Mobility and the overall digitalization

Staying true to the Silkroad 4.0 spirit the team will broadcast their adventure to the audience through various Social Media channels and in particular create engaging videos explaining how the technology they are using is affecting their quest.

About Silkroad 4.0:
Silkroad 4.0 is a showcasing initiative that aims to promote and explain latest technologies through the framework of long-distance adventure motorcycle trips.

The signature project is starting in April 2018 - two explorers on motorcycles equipped with the latest technology will embark on a trip through the track of the ancient Silk Road, from Austria to China.

Broadcasting their experiences during the trip, the team will introduce the audience to the life in the visited countries and their interactions with technology. At the same time they will showcase the partner technology they themselves are using, explaining how it affects and eases their endeavor.
