Seminar on Guided Wave Inspection in Malaysia by SGS
SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company organises a seminar about the NDT method called Guided Wave on 16 February 2009 at the Sunway Pyramid Tower Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Guided Wave Inspection also known as Long Range Ultrasonic Testing is a relatively new technology in the Non-Destructive Testing market. It has big advantages over any other spot measurement, as it screens 100% of the volume of the piping inspected for metal loss features such as corrosion and erosion. Regular piping inspection is one element of reliability management programs in industrial facilities, as it prevents unexpected shutdowns and delays during maintenance periods. Guided wave inspection adds value by increasing the coverage and propability of finding weak spots.
