RANDALL CHRISTENSEN AND JANIE BRYANT NOMINATED FOR COSTUME DESIGNERS GUILD AWARDS
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 19, 2009)—MLC PR announced today that two of their clients, Emmy Award winning costume designer Randall Christensen and Emmy Award Winning costume designer Janie Bryant have been nominated for the 11th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. Randall Christensen has been nominated for his work on the hit ABC series “Dancing with the Stars” in the category of Outstanding Contemporary Television Series, and Bryant has been nominated for her work on the Golden Globe award-winning AMC series “Mad Men” in the category of Outstanding Period/Fantasy Television Series.“We are so excited and proud of both Randall and Janie,” says publicist Jordyn Borczon. “They are so talented in their craft; they make ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘Mad Men’ even more exciting to watch! Winners of The Costume Designers Guild Awards will be announced on February 17, 2009 at the awards gala. Founded in 1953, The Costume Designers Guild aspires to raise the stature of the Costume Design profession within the entertainment community commensurate with the incalculable contribution Costume Designers make to each motion picture, television, or commercial, illuminating the characters with accuracy and integrity, thereby enhancing the story.

ABOUT RANDALL CHRISTENSEN
Since 1985, Emmy award-winning costume designer Randall Christensen has created and manufactured high-end glamour costumes for television, film, Las Vegas projects, cruise line shows, and the competitive dance world. Christensen is the owner of Randall Designs, which is the leading company in the dance industry for dance related apparel. In addition to winning an Emmy in 2006, he has been the sole designer for ABC’s hit television show Dancing with the Stars since season two, worked as the sole costume designer for the TLC network series Ballroom Bootcamp, and has contributed gowns for Jennifer Lopez in Shall We Dance and Mary Steenbergen in Charm School. He has also designed for the hit TV show So You Think You Can Dance, and for the films “Take the Lead” and “Dance with Me.”

Best known for her work on the western themed HBO series “Deadwood,” Emmy Award Winning Janie Bryant has quickly become one of the best-known costume designers in the entertainment industry. In 2005, 2006, and 2007 she was nominated for a Costume Designers Guild Award for “Outstanding Costume Design for Television Series- Period/Fantasy” for her efforts on “Deadwood,” and she was also nominated for Emmy Awards in 2004, 2005 and 2007 for “Outstanding Costumes for a Series,” taking home the coveted award in 2005. Janie’s latest project, dressing the cast of the Golden Globe award winning AMC series “Mad Men” brought her national and international praise. Most recently, Janie was nominated and won the award for “TV’s Most Stylist Show” for her work on “Mad Men,” presented by Hollywood Life Magazine.
