4DS Wound Care Dressing machine at launch at Compamed

4DS Wound Care Dressing machine at launch at Compamed

Doyen Medipharm LLC, of Lakeland, Florida, a specialist supplier of Converting and Packaging lines for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, is launching their new 4DS wound care converting machine into the US market.

The 4DS complements Doyen’s range of high end manufacturing equipment, employing the renowned and proven converting technology to provide a solution for manufacturers of advanced wound care products with lower production requirements while retaining Doyen quality and efficiency.

The dressing converting machine was first introduced at the Compamed/Medica show in Dusseldorf, Germany, in November 2008, where it impressed customers and visitors with its high operating speed and the quality of the finished product (a multi-layered island dressing).

The system has been designed for fast changeover to various types of product using interchangeable tooling and modules. As with all Doyen solutions the 4DS is fully validated and manufactured to meet all relevant build standards.

As the model exhibited at Compamed was a standalone machine, many visitors were interested in linking it to a packaging process. ”We offer full integration of four side seal packaging modules for an efficient automated process,“ explains Neil Andrews, VP Sales and Marketing, “the modular build of the 4DS also offers the ideal basis for integrating a variety of performance improving components like auto-splicing, printing or in-line vision inspection.“

Over the past 10 years, Doyen’s UK branch has established a strong presence in the European Wound Care market, placing custom-built machines at large OEMs as well as smaller contract manufacturers. Doyen’s Wound Care range also includes the PCS Pad Cutting and Packaging system for one-layered dressings like foams and alginates, and highly customized DMS Dressing Making Systems for high volume, automated high speed converting of multi-layered advanced wound care products.

Doyen Medipharm is a leading specialist supplier of Converting and Packaging machinery for the medical and pharmaceutical industries. The company offers fully integrated converting and packaging lines for wound care products, transdermal drug delivery systems and medicated oral film strips, as well as walleting and packaging equipment for gloves and medical devices.
