YEOW TIANG HUI APPOINTED AS CEO OF ALKHAIR INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC BANK
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEKUALA LUMPUR, July 31, 2017 - Alkhair International Islamic Bank Berhad (AKIIB) today announced the appointment of Mr Yeow Tiang Hui as its new CEO with effect from 1st August 2017. Prior to this appointment, he has pursued a career that spanned several multinational banks. They include Deutsche Bank where he managed the MNC portfolio, and Citibank/Citicorp where he was the Vice President in their venture capital outfit and the Head of Commercial Banking.
Mr. Yeow was the Malaysian country head of the French banking group Crédit Industriel et Commercial from 1997 to 2005, where he covered the bank’s offshore wholesale banking business in Malaysia, the Greater China, and the Philippines. That was followed by heading the Corporate Bank of Kuwait Finance House in Malaysia.
An alumni of the National University of Singapore, where he studied International Finance, Banking & Monetary Economics, he obtained further training in banking and finance from Singapore Institute of Banking and Finance, Deutsche Bank Asia Pacific, and Citibank Asia Pacific Banking Institute.
Mr. Yeow Tiang Hui succeeds Dato’ Adissadikin Ali who left the Bank in 2016 to head RHB Islamic Bank.
