International Healthcare IT Provider Enters U.S. Market: ICW Invites Key E-Health Opinion Leaders to New Advisory Board
The international healthcare IT provider InterComponentWare (ICW) has invited over a dozen national key opinion leaders in the healthcare IT industry to become members of its new U.S. Advisory Board. ICW has made a strategic commitment to grow and succeed in the U.S. E-Health market. The company focus is leveraging its core competencies to deliver best of breed solutions that empower consumer driven healthcare.The new Advisory Board is scheduled to convene semi-annually to provide consulting and strategic direction to ICW’s management. The first meeting of the advisory board is taking place on Dec 7th and 8th, 2005 in Philadelphia, PA. The two-day event will focus on strategic discussions on ICW’s U.S. market entry in the areas of Personal Health Records (PHRs), E-Health platforms for Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs), and Connected Healthcare Communities (CHCs). The Advisory Board convention is a first milestone in ICW’s U.S. strategy to establish partnerships with U.S. corporations, healthcare providers, and set up proof-of-concept projects.
The initial meeting has been arranged with the help of David Nash, MD, MBA, Chairman of the Dept. of Health Policy at Thomas Jefferson University. “I am excited to provide assistance to ICW’s U.S. market entry, with its potential to become a best practice provider of consumer-centric healthcare utilizing innovative E-Health tools such as PHRs,” says Dr. Nash. Prominent members of the advisory board include David Merritt, Project Director at the Center for Health Transformation, and Dr. Harold Robles, Chairman of the Medical Knowledge Institute.
