Adam Caller commented; "Over recent months I have been receiving increasing numbers of e-mails from students asking for answers to homework assignments, confusing our services with those of online private tutors. As someone who cares a great deal about the learning process and standards in education," Adam explained, "I felt it was important to make parents aware of the way that online private tutors can be abused as a resource if the student's use of their time is not supervised."

"This can have a serious impact on a child's education," Adam stated. "Parents are paying for these services thinking that they are helping their child. In fact, if they don't supervise the use of that resource, and if the child is inclined to avoid studying, the parents may actually be hindering their child's education. In the short term they are likely to perform poorly in exams as the child hasn't been studying in enough depth. In the long term, getting answers without effort damages the child's ability to acquire learning habits that they will draw upon for the rest of their education, and into their adult life. I'm not saying that online tutors are a problem per se," Adam added, "But I think the way that they are being used by many students is, and that needs to be addressed."
