Press release from: Kovels.com

Kovels.com, the Web's largest free price guide for antiques and collectibles, today released its list of the top 20 searches for November 2008.

Cleveland, Ohio, December 17, 2008 -- Kovels.com today released its list of the top 20 searches for November, 2008. The Kovels' top 20 list is based on the results of hundreds of thousands of searches that took place on their website during the last month. With over 600,000 antiques and collectibles in its online price guide, Kovels.com is the Web's largest free price guide for antiques and collectibles.

1. Occupied Japan - No movement, 2. World War II - Up from #6, 3. Stove - Up from #4, 4. Jewelry - Down from #2, 5. Silver Plate - Down from #3, 6. Coca-Cola - Down from #5, 7. Capo-Di-Monte - Up from #8, 8. Furniture - Down from #7, 9. Lladro - Up from #11, 10. Shawnee - Up from #12, 11. Knife - Up from #15, 12. Lighter - Up from #17, 13. Hutschenreuter - Down from #16, 18. Rosenthal - Not listed last month, 19. Bottle - Not listed last month, 20. Planters Peanuts - Down from #14.

There were 5 new listings in the top 20 list for November, which is a rather substantial number for this very stable list.

People use price guides for a number of reasons, usually to determine the value of an item that they own. If an item isn't listed on the top 20 list, it doesn't mean it is unpopular or that there isn't a demand for it. It only means that in November there was less interest in finding prices for that item.
