HAVELLS’ HT CABLES ATTAIN BASEC CERTIFICATION

(British Approvals Service for Cables (BASEC) Awarded Certificate for Quality & Safety)

New Delhi, 2nd December 2008: Havells India Limited, a US $1.2 billion enterprise and one of India’s fastest growing electrical and power distribution equipment companies, has made an incredible mark in the electrical industry by attaining the Certification from British Approvals Service for Cables (BASEC) to Havells HT Cables.

This certificate is a recognized sign of assurance of independent cable testing and approval. All products which attain this certification are picked up from the open market and rigorously tested to meet necessary and appropriate British, European and international standards through detailed examination of manufacturers' production processes and controls.

Havells cables are manufactured in state-of-the-art production facility at Alwar, Rajasthan. Today, Havells cable plant has the biggest manufacturing infrastructure in the cable industry with the best technology and latest machines like CCV line, drawing machines with online annealing.

Havells cables have in-built protection system against overloads and short-circuit due to their high compactness and better armour coverage.
