Expansion of US-Team increases presence in biggest calling card market in the world

Ratingen, Germany, December 1st 2008 – In November 2008 Mox Telecom welcomed Mr. Bjoern Risse who has been supporting the US Sales Team since. Mr. Risse, who draws on vast Sales experience in both, the Telecommunications – and the Prepaid sector, will set the stage for further promotion of Mox products in the US.

After the success of its establishment with currently six operating Sales Managers on the US-East Coast, Mox seeks to further strengthen their Sales channels on the US-West Coast. Through strategic cooperation of both Sales locations Mox Telecom hopes to increase their sales competence and market presence in the US, which estimates to a total of US$ 4 billion in the biggest calling card market in the world. Dr. Schamel, Chief Executive of Mox Telecom states: “Through the increase of our market presence we expect an additional 7-digit monthly turnover of similar return assumption to Europe.” In October alone Mox has generated profits of US$ 1.5 million in card value. US Business could potentially grow to a 2-3% market share in 2009, which would estimate to around US$ 30-40 million in card value, according to Dr. Schamel.

With the establishment of its Technical location in New York and close cooperation with American service provider World Communication Group Services Ltd. (WCGS) Mox feel they are soundly positioned in the US market. Dr. Schulz, Head of Technology and Product Development adds: “The New York based technology is specifically tailored towards the needs of the US calling card market and allows for rapid expansion of the US business.”

The US market entry was facilitated through Mox Telecom's existing and wide-ranging (distribution) network of wholesalers and locally based resellers.
This was last seen in June 2008 when one of the US most important distributors, the New York based Sohel Distribution Inc. (SDI – www.sdicard.com), forged an alliance with Mox. One of the Top Wholesalers with an annual turnover around the 3-digit mark the company expects returns of up to US$ 1.5 to 2 million of the card value on a monthly basis and over a 24-month term, thus presenting itself as the ideal partner with potential for Mox.
