Michael Farrenkopf to succeed Giorgio Novelli as FEAC Secretary General
(Hasselt, Belgium – 6 July 2017) The European Mercedes-Benz Dealer Association FEAC today announced that the General Assembly has appointed Michael Farrenkopf (31) as the new Secretary General, succeeding Giorgio Novelli.Mr. Novelli, who turned 70 this year, was the first Secretary General of FEAC since it was founded in 1993. Mr. Novelli has built and shaped FEAC decisively, he is a valued and extremely popular person. FEAC thanks Giorgio Novelli for his exceptional job over a long and successful career and wishes him all the best for the coming years.
„We selected Michael Farrenkopf as new Secretary General as he is a digital, Daimler and industry expert,” states FEAC President Dr. Alexander Martinowsky. “Today’s pace of change is exponential. Sales and services are becoming digital, disruptive new players may enter our markets and FEAC’s role in the digital transformation has never been more important.”
Mr. Farrenkopf joined the German Mercedes-Benz Dealer Association from 2014 until 2017 and has been of great help to FEAC as support to the German Delegates in the European meetings. His key tasks were IT, Aftersales and the strategic Future of Retail concept.
Founded in 1993, FEAC is the association of the European national Mercedes-Benz dealer associations. FEAC currently represents 20 member States (including non-EU Norway, Russia and Turkey).
