Eurofins partners with leading US certification firm, SCS, for Indoor Air Quality Certification

Galten, Denmark – In a landmark move to better serve European customers with interest in the US market, Eurofins Product Testing A/S, Denmark, announced a partnership with Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) of Emeryville , California, for third-party indoor air quality certification.
SCS’s industry-leading indoor air certifications, SCS Indoor Advantage™ and SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold for furniture and other indoor products, as well as FloorScore® indoor air quality certification for flexible and hard surface flooring, will now be accessible to European manufacturing facilities.

Eurofins Product Testing A/S, Denmark, is SCS’s first European lab accredited for indoor air quality testing. Eurofins is a worldwide leader in its field.

“After the recently launched European certification scheme, Indoor Air Comfort, Eurofins now opens doors to the well-established US counterparts Indoor Advantage, Indoor Advantage Gold, FloorScore, and BIFMA,” said Reinhard Oppl, market manager for VOC emission testing and certification at Eurofins. “This supports the strategy of Eurofins Product Testing A/S to offer global solutions to global industries. Our partnership with SCS means that Eurofins test report can now not only be used for European low emission labels, but also in the important US market. Companies will need such documentation for showing compliance with specifications of US LEED rating systems for sustainable buildings.”

In keeping with international standards, Eurofins is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, demonstrating quality assurance for SCS and Eurofins customers.
