Invitation to Apply for Participation in the 58th ARD International Music Competition

Since July, applications are being accepted for the next ARD Music Competition, which will take place in 2009 for the 58th time, this time in the categories voice, violin, double bass and harp. Eligible to compete are musicians from all nations born between 1980 and 1992. The Competition will be held August 31 and September 18, 2009 (including the prize-winners’ concerts) in Munich. All the auditions are open to the public. The application deadline is April 30, 2009. Musicians will find out whether they have been admitted following a pre-selection prior to June 30, 2009.

The amount of the main and special prizes comes to a total of 112,500 euros.
