"Things We Hate" is the first single to be released from Censored's new demo.

Censored recently announced that "Things We Hate" will be the first single off their much anticipated new demo. The band has been hard at work promoting, recording, and winning over every person they meet at a show. With their high energy stage show and anthemic rock and roll sound, they are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Censored is a five-piece band hailing out of Ottumwa, Iowa. They are currently writing and recording songs for their new demo which is schedule for a spring 2009 release. Their newest single, "Things We Hate," is an emotionally charged rock ballad that tells the tale of redundant life-lessons that you just can't escape. David Birchmier, lead vocalist and song writer for Censored, had this to say about the new single:

"For me, the song is about reliving the same situation with the same people over and over again. All the while knowing it's bad for you, knowing it's wrong, but still being completely hopeless to escape. Being pushed to the edge can sometimes be the greatest motivation a person can get."

Censored has opened for national acts such as The Ataris, Flaw, and Hydrovibe. They have become known for their extensive merchandise line and have established themselves as not only renowned musicians, but also as a band that loves to have a good time. Censored's live show and the buzz after every show is truly a spectacle everyone should witness.

Censored's writing builds upon groups like Hinder and Three Days Grace, while defining our groove in a fashion comparable to Finger Eleven and 10 Years. Our strong writing and live show has allowed us to participate in BodogMUSIC, Verus Festival, and Mid-American Music Festival, just to name a few.
