RENOVO HEALTHCARE TO BUILD 40-BED REHAB FACILITY IN LEWISVILLE, TEXAS

LEWISVILLE, TEXAS—October 20, 2008 — Renovo Healthcare, Inc. has announced that, following the unanimous approval of the City of Lewisville Zoning Commission, it is on schedule to open a unique rehabilitation facility by the end of the fourth quarter of 2009. Lakeview Rehabilitation Hospital, operated by Renovo Healthcare, Inc., will be located in Lewisville at the southwest corner of I-35E and FM407 on a four-acre site, and will offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation as well as wellness services. The facility will serve a trade area of high population growth and is located in a Medicare demographic that outpaces the national average by nearly three times. Lakeview will serve patients discharged from eight nearby acute care hospitals, providing vitally important rehabilitation services for North Texas patients and doctors.

One of the differentiating aspects of this facility has been the overwhelming support from numerous specialty physicians in the area. Renovo Chairman and Founder, Dr. Dan Bartel, explains, “Approximately 40 local physicians, including Orthopedists, Neurologists, Hospitalists, Family Practitioners, Oncologists, Podiatrists and Internists have already committed and become actively engaged in this venture; and we are adding one to three new physician investors on average each week. Our partnership with area physicians helps ensure the effectiveness of our patient treatment programs.”

Lakeview will be a 40-bed, 48,000 square-foot rehabilitation hospital with amenities more closely resembling a luxury spa-resort than a traditional rehabilitation unit. The facility offers patients a higher quality rehabilitation experience than is currently available in the area. Renovo operates with therapist- and nurse-to-patient ratios exceeding the industry average and features comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy routines. Renovo has designed nutrition and wellness programs that are integrated into inpatient and outpatient therapy programs to aid patients in achieving lasting positive changes in their overall health.

Dr. Bartel is in his third decade of medical rehabilitation and facility operation and is currently a practicing neurologist in Wichita Falls, Texas. He began his career assisting in the development of the Bethania Hospital Rehabilitation Unit in Wichita Falls and was the facility’s first medical director. Thereafter, he opened two freestanding rehabilitation hospitals the city over the next several years. Dr. Bartel is also a venture partner in two other rehabilitation hospitals located in Sugar Land, Texas and Rancho Mirage, California.

Lakeview Rehabilitation Hospital has been actively supported by the Lewisville City Council. According to Lewisville Director of Economic Development, Nika Z. Reinecke, “We are really excited about Renovo. We think it’s a great use, and believe that Lewisville is an excellent market for them. The location is centrally situated through the I-35 corridor for both the residents of Lewisville and those of surrounding communities, and we feel that the market is currently underserved for long-term care.
