Hosiery Manufacturer Pamela Mann Release Unique Three Quarter Length Tights

Hinckley, Leicestershire: The leading hosiery manufacturer and wholesaler Pamela Mann Ltd has released a unique collection of three quarter length 50 denier tights.

The styling is not unique in itself; if you look in any gym you will find numerous people wearing three quarter length gym pants, what makes this collection so unique is the material. Rather than being thicker, like gym pants, these 50 denier tights are designed to be worn under skirts and shorts, with only the really daring being prepared to wear them on their own.

Owner Rob Morris says, “As far as I know, no other hosiery manufacturer offers this unique styling of legwear as a pair of 50 denier tights.”

Pamela Mann has been established since the 1950s so the design team wanted a style which heralded their founding decade and that is what they produced.

Aimed at the retro and vintage markets the collection elicits memories of a more innocent time in the 1950s when rockabilly was just coming to the forefront of musical tastes. Bill Haley had just had just started to “Rock Around The Clock” and Elvis was telling us “That’s All Right Mama”.

The collection showcases a slight movement away from the usual hosiery offered by the industry, which seems to have been stuck on the merry-go-round of repeated innovation. The shift, however, has proved very popular with their clients as Morris goes on to explain, “This collection is a retro take on the legwear worn during the rockabilly period of the 1950’s and is proving very popular with a wide range of our client base with pre-orders outshining all our expectations.”

What has really surprised the company though is the uptake of the collection worldwide and the variety of shops looking to stock it. Expecting retro and vintage to be the main markets in the UK they have witnessed retailers from as far afield as America and Australia requesting deliveries, covering retro, vintage, fashion and gothic styling. Could this be the start of a new worldwide fashion trend?
