New software application automatically directs people to web pages most suitable for their country of residence. This prevents the wastage that comes of people applying for inappropriate products or services, provides a useful service for the website visitor and boosts ROI for the website owner.

London, UK, September 17, 2008 - Internet marketers and researchers Inteltab have released GeoTargeter Pro, a sophisticated yet simple-to-use software application that uses IP addresses from a standard database to redirect website visitors to landing pages which are deemed more suitable for the visitors' geo-location, based on country, U.S. state or Canadian province.

Inteltab's CEO Gordon Goodfellow explained, "For some time now we were concerned at the number of people landing at our U.K. financial pages who lived in the U.S., and vice versa. Some of these people were actually applying for financial products such as loans, credit cards and insurance which they were not eligible for because they lived in a completely different country to where the financial products were located.

"These people were effectively wasted visitors, and we wanted a way to redirect them to content which would be useful for them based on where they were resident."

As a result of this the previously redundant visitors were monetized and so the new software effectively added an extra income stream where previously there was none.

The software uses a standard database of IP addresses, which determines where the website visitor is located. It then forwards the visitor to a more appropriate landing page based on where he or she is resident. The software can be tuned to be sensitive to continents, regions of the world, individual countries or even as local as U.S. states or Canadian provinces, each of which have their own IP address identifiers.

The system may be set up to redirect people to pages appropriate to their own language, their local laws or any other local pages which are of relevance to them, at the click of a mouse.
