Dr. Mosetta M. Penick Phillips-Cermak, author of The Wishing Flower and The Magic of Laven-Rock is the featured guest on Nicola Beaumont's Blog.
In an interview with Nicola, Dr. Mosetta discusses her love of writing, her teaching philosophy, and how she believes her books can help children develop the qualities necessary for a successful future.
"I was really please to be accepted by Nicola as a featured guest," said Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak. "It allows me the chance to promote my books in England.
It also offered me the opportunity to discuss my new Wishing Flower fanclub and my just released book, The Magic of Laven-Rock. "
The second in her series of children's stories about a mythical world, The Magic of Laven-Rock is a fairy tale about similarities and differences among people. In this story the children learn that fighting is not the solution to problems. The children decide that problems can be resolved through discussion, and that we can all share with each other.
According to Dr. Mosetta, who is currently teaching kindergarten for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, "There might even be a lesson in this for our world leaders as the children share the natural resources of their country."
The Magic of Laven-Rock is available through The Publisher's Graphics Bookstore (publishersgraphicsbookstore.com), and at most bookstores online.
