Dedicated Hosting Provider LeaseWeb Expands Network & Support

Amsterdam, 11 September 2008 – Dedicated hosting provider LeaseWeb (leaseweb.com), among the global top 20 hosting providers, expands its Network & Support Department and appoints four new network engineers. Their responsibilities cover operational services, including monitoring the hosting network, providing customers with hosting services and support, and providing sales support.

International Hosting
The Network & Support Department's expansion follows recent strong growth in LeaseWeb's international customer base. “Our network's large bandwidth and the capacity available in our data centers attracts customers from as far afield as Spain, Poland, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States,” says Con Zwinkels, LeaseWeb's Managing Director. “The effect on our worldwide network has led to rapid growth. We need to have more people on standby to provide our 24x7 network management support services in all those time zones.”

LeaseWeb's New Network Engineers
Dennis Kuik (38) applied for LeaseWeb's network engineer vacancy and was taken on immediately. He was also appointed assistant team leader because of his broad experience. His last job was also in an international setting. Before LeaseWeb, he was senior network controller at the international banking organization SWIFT, which provides financial messaging services for banks, financial institutions and corporate organizations in more than 200 countries. He had previously also worked for Infonet.

Jottie Tolatzis (28) is Greek and has worked as a hardware support engineer at LeaseWeb for the past 2.5 years. He is now ready to take on the role of network engineer. Tolatzis is a highly motivated employee, with the company's interests at heart and an extensive knowledge of hardware. He worked as a second-line support technician at Interpay for 5.5 years before joining LeaseWeb.

Tim Vollebregt (20) is LeaseWeb's whizz-kid. A fast learner, he is constantly expanding and deepening his knowledge. After just a short period at LeaseWeb as a hardware engineer, Vollebregt is now ready to take on the more complicated work of a network engineer. He previously worked as a system and network manager at Worldstream, a smaller hosting provider in Maasdijk, the Netherlands.

James Higgins (40) was the fourth new network engineer to be appointed after applying for the LeaseWeb vacancy. Originating from Ireland, Higgins is a meticulous worker who knows how to get the job done. He has worked for some years in ICT and will be bringing his technical experience to LeaseWeb. He was a logistics manager in his previous job, at PC4Everyone, a company that installs new hardware and software in the computers it buys up from businesses before selling them in the market again at competitive prices.

LeaseWeb
An international provider of hosting solutions primarily aimed at the business market, LeaseWeb (www.leaseweb.com) is among the global top 20 hosting providers, offering services such as domain name registration, web hosting, dedicated servers, co-location, server virtualization and streaming. LeaseWeb's high-end network offers a bandwidth of over 210 Gbps and extends across four datacenters in the Amsterdam region via major telecom carriers. LeaseWeb also operates in Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Frankfurt, New York, Vienna, Stockholm, Warsaw, Zurich, Prague and Madrid via Internet exchange points.
