Entrepreneur and Author Howard Melamed To Speak At McGill University

Coral Springs, FL/September 4, 2008 – South Florida entrepreneur, Howard Melamed, President and CEO of CellAntenna, and author of The Science of Opportunity: Being in the Right Place at the Right Time will be speaking at McGill University on September 10, 2008 at 2:30 PM EST at McConnell 11 on the main campus in Montreal, Canada. Melamed, a 1980 graduate of McGill University will be speaking to students on how to make career decisions that work.

“I am honored to be speaking at McGill University,” said Howard Melamed. “My family is a McGill family. My wife graduated from the University’s Social Work Department, my father graduated with an engineering degree in 1951, my brother graduated with a degree in architecture, and my uncle is a Professor Emeritus.

“Making the right career decisions is something that every college student thinks about but often they don’t recognize when the right opportunity is knocking,” continued Melamed. “The pressures of life, including searching for a job, are enough to worry any student. Confidence plays a key role, and every student has enough on their mind besides figuring out how to become successful. I have yet to see confidence 101 as a required course. Schooling by itself cannot guarantee you success. I will draw lessons from my book to show students how they can boost their confidence and make opportunity work for them.”

Howard Melamed is living proof that the Science of Opportunity works. He graduated McGill University in 1980 with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. Melamed used his education to fuel his first entrepreneurial endeavors: construction management and computer consulting.

To those who might say he is lucky, Melamed explains that, luck had nothing to do with it. He always found a way to be open to, recognize, and act on opportunity when it came his way. Today Melamed is CEO and President of the CellAntenna Corporation, a multinational, multimillion-dollar telecommunications service -company with employees worldwide. Melamed lives in Coral Springs with his wife and business partner, Barbara.
