Leading load testing company Facilita deploys GT Datamaker software to manage test data requirements

Facilita have now acquired the Grid-Tools Datamaker professional edition, strongly convinced this test data suite can offer them a wide range of functionalities to manage their test data requirements.

Using Datamaker, Facilita can now quickly and easily create accurate test data as and when they need it. They can likewise automatically create subsets of existing data and scramble/condition sensitive or personal data records.

With the infrastructure Grid-Tools Datamaker provides combined with the deployment of a centralized test data repository, Facilita is now able to use and re-use test cases whilst utilizing a wide range of powerful data manipulation features.

Facilita are also able to provide personnel within their company the ability to offer ‘Test Data on Demand’ to all of their users.
Generating Test Data – proving effective and successful for Facilita.

Facilita have in the past been reliant on generating test data the “traditional way” via making copies of production data or manually creating data. Traditional methods proved to be costly, time consuming and laborious for Facilita. Datamaker seemed to provide an obvious and compelling solution.

GT Subset, an element of the Grid-Tools’ Datamaker Suite, now provides Facilita with a low cost method for rapidly extracting test data from their production database. Using the latest technology from database vendors combined with an easy-to-use front end, GT Subset allows definition of any relationships required to subset the data, as well as using existing database constraints.
