WeePallet Opens an In-house Load Testing Facility for Plastic Pallets

WeePallet, the leading manufacturer of plastic pallets, today inaugurated a new in-house load testing facility. This will help the WeePallet quality assurance team to determine plastic pallet load safety.

WeePallet has adopted a range of testing procedures that will enable the company to have strict control over the pallet’s dimensions and ability to withstand prolonged loading. This comes only a few days after the company adopted the 100 meter drop test for its plastic pallets.

“Our new in-house load testing facility is equipped with high-tech load measuring equipment that simulate loading effect of the real life load when the plastic pallet is in use,” Mr. Blue Chen, the WeePallet Export Manager. “All the quality testing results are available for verification in our quality department. Currently, we have adopted both testing to destruction and proof test.”

The WeePallet quality assurance team will continue to collaborate with other accredited laboratories and auditors. This is to ensure all procedures within the in-house load testing facility conform to the international quality standards.
With this new plastic pallet testing facility, WeePallet strives to minimize degradation and product damage. These include both physical and mechanical damage.

Key Plastic Pallet Load Tests

WeePallet plastic pallets will be subjected to these three main load tests:

Plastic pallets racking load tests: WeePallet technical team will simulate the racking load test to determine any possible deflection on the pallet. This will include taking measurements on the outside section and with the pallet’s structure.

The pallet is subjected to a consistent loading for a long period of time. In all WeePallet plastic pallet load tests, the maximum deflection was no more than 15mm.

Since the racking load depends on the design of plastic pallet, WeePallet has established different testing stations for these procedures.

Plastic pallet static load test: WeePallet adopted the same procedure to determine the maximum load a plastic pallet can handle when on a flat surface. Normally, even when pallets are stacked together; their weight must not exceed the maximum static load of the first pallet.

Plastic pallet dynamic load test: This is the maximum load a plastic pallet is subjected to during transportation. The test aims to determine how weight is evenly distributed on the pallet during transportation.

Impact tests: WeePallet has also adopted load impact testing for its plastic pallet. This involves subjecting the plastic pallets to an impact loading on both its surface and edges.

This test aims to determine the capability of the plastic pallet to withstand shock during transportation.
