The original Smart-Lock system was virtually indestructible, but now GERWAH has been able to certify its shrink discs for even higher torques. Instead of using Molycote grease, the component parts of the second-generation Smart-Lock have been coated with a special slip coating which reduces friction. This allows easier handling during installation - a very clean solution. In addition, the aseptic and absolutely stainless material makes it possible to use Smart-Lock in food-processing facilities.
