Mithi announces Bulk Data Download service for Vaultastic
Pune, India, April 18, 2017Mithi Software announces the launch of a new service for its Cloud Email Archiving solution Vaultastic, which enables users to export email data from Vaultastic in bulk from their own account.
Referring to the challenges previously faced by their customers, Sunil Uttam, Co-Founder and CTO at Mithi Software, said that "even though it is easy for an end user or the administrator to export data from the individual Vaultastic archive accounts, using the DIY self service portal, retrieving data of multiple or all users in bulk can be time consuming through this method. To improve response on such queries, we're announcing a service to help retrieve and download email data in bulk."
Some of the use cases for such a service are:
- To obtain an annual dump of all the data from Vaultastic for retention on the local storage.
- To serve a compliance request for multiple users with large archive mailboxes.
- To retrieve data of all users on Vaultastic for the purpose of restoration.
Broadly, the data retrieval process works as like this - A Vaultasic user creates an S3 bucket in their own AWS/AISPL account and share that with the Vaultastic account. Vaultastic exports the email data of the selected users in PST or EML format and copies it on the users S3 bucket. The user can then proceed to copy the data from their S3 bucket to their local storage OR choose to use AWS Snowball to get all the data from the S3 bucket physically delivered to their location.
This service will be available for all Vaultastic customers and will be charged at a per GB rate.
