Sangoma Launches Developer Network for the Open Source Community
Company offers Developers a Platform to Showcase TalentsTORONTO, CANADA – (August 5, 2008) – Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC), the premium provider of PC-based hardware and software products for proprietary and open source networking and telephony solutions, today announced that they have designed a Developer Network for the open source community. This online network will support the open source community by giving VoIP developers the opportunity to interact with the people and companies in need of their services.
Sangoma’s Developer Network will serve as a platform for open source developers, and provide the opportunity for them to showcase their talents and skill sets among potential clients and employers. Through the network, developers can share success stories about their applications and solutions.
“We feel it is important to provide open source developers with a platform to showcase their new and innovative applications, to help them cultivate beneficial business relationships,” said Nenad Corbic, Sangoma’s Chief Software Engineer. “Now, our partners and the general public will have access to the same talent pool that we draw upon.”
Each developer will be given their own unique URL for their profile, and will be encouraged to update their information quarterly. They will have the ability to access their information as needed to make updates, conduct searches, and showcase work.
Sangoma has hand-picked developers with whom they have worked and trust to help them launch the program. These developers that Sangoma welcomes in by invitation only will be offered “Sangoma Select” status. Other developers who have not yet worked with Sangoma, but are interested in joining are encouraged to apply online at: www.sangoma.com/developers/.
