Press release from: SGS

/ PR Agency: Sugarloaf Marketing
SGS Baseefa appointed Mr. Phil Oates to the position of Operations Manager in November 2016. The appointment comes at an important time for the company, which has recently undergone an internal re-organisation designed to make the company more customer-focussed.

With a long history of working in many sectors of the explosive atmospheres industry, Mr. Oates proved himself to be the ideal candidate for the position of Operations Manager. Immediately prior to his appointment, Mr. Oates worked as a Certification Engineer with the company.

Describing his background, Mr. Oates says:

“I have worked in the explosive atmospheres industry since 1975. The majority of that time I have worked for the manufacturing side of the industry but, as the vast majority of SGS Baseefa’s customers are manufacturers, I feel I can relate to the issues SGS faces – especially in relation to the interaction between manufacturers and testing/certification bodies.”

SGS’s explosive atmospheres business has recently undergone a period of internal re-organisation designed to improve the customer interface. SGS Baseefa has always been acknowledged as a leader in providing services which combine quality and integrity. The new customer-focussed approach will help introduce faster turnaround times for quotes and testing/certification services.

With his knowledge of both sides of the manufacturer/certification relationship, Mr. Phil Oates is ideally positioned to lead the company, with its stated goal of providing high quality, cost-effective testing, certification and training services to current and future customers.
