Typetec Creates Fifteen New Jobs with Launch of TRUSt Proactive Managed Service

Typetec TRUSt delivers real-time proactive systems management for SMEs

Dublin, 15th July 2008 – Typetec, the managed IT services company, today announced the creation of fifteen new high-tech jobs at its Dublin headquarters and the launch of its new managed service solution, ‘Typetec TRUSt’. The service will provide proactive and integrated management of customers’ entire IT operations, and is targeted at Irish companies with between ten and one hundred employees.

Typetec TRUSt enables businesses to reduce the cost and complexity of managing modern IT environments, while also improving overall business performance. The launch has been made possible due to a major investment, including the development of a new managed platform at Typetec’s Network Management Centre (NMC) in Dublin. The fifteen new employees will be focussed on the rollout of Typetec TRUSt. The first posts have just been filled, and the rest are expected to be filled during 2008 and 2009. The new positions will increase Typetec’s employee count by more than 30%.

The new service is competitively priced and delivered via three service levels:
* TRUSt M&R – Entry-level monitoring tool that spots potential issues and offers basic reporting
* TRUSt Support – Monitor, report, predict and fix; includes patch management and telephone & remote support
* TRUSt Assure – Fully outsourced IT support function; every aspect of IT except bespoke development; one fixed price per month, with no callout charges

All three service levels include 24/7 proactive remote systems monitoring. All three levels include a monthly systems report, outlining issues such as patch management, resource utilisation, service availability, asset management and incident logs. Performance monitoring is also included, and can deliver extensive real-time analyses that can intelligently predict problems within the infrastructure and put proactive fixes in place. An overall systems score is given each month, which can be used to track performance over time. The system can also monitor backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure that, if the worst happens, business interruption is minimised.

Announcing the fifteen new jobs and launching the service, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Mary Coughlan TD said, “High tech jobs, such as those being created today by Typetec, are the best source of future growth in the Irish workforce. As we move towards a fully knowledge-based economy, it is vital that we continue to expand our high tech services industry. Typetec TRUSt is an excellent example of the type of innovative service that will improve and grow our technological base.”
