Articulon Wins Best in Division at Sir Walter Raleigh Awards

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 3, 2008) — Articulon, a Raleigh-based branding and public relations firm, received three Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for work performed on behalf of clients. The awards were presented by the Raleigh Public Relations Society (RPRS) on June 24, and judged by an independent group of professionals from the Sacramento Public Relations Association.

Two awards were for WCPE - TheClassicalStation.org’s campaign supporting public radio. Articulon captured the Gold for receiving national media coverage in the news release writing category. The same release obtained the Best in Division award, the highest honor given. It was achieved by receiving the overall top score from six categories within the public relations writing division.

In the special events category, Articulon won Honorable Mention for creative and program execution of the John Rex Endowment 2007 Hands of Health Award Breakfast.

“We are honored to be recognized for the strategic and measurable PR programs,” said Cindy Stranad, principal of Articulon.

The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence in Communication are presented by RPRS and held annually to honor work by North Carolina communication professionals. The competition recognizes those who have achieved excellence in the field.
