Professor Dr. Giancarlo Succi". The presentation will be held on Monday, 7th of July, 15:00 - 15:45 at the Software Competence Center in Hagenberg (Upper Austria)
Dr. Giancarlo Succi is Director of the Center for Applied Software Engineering (CASE), and Associate Dean at the Faculty of Informatics of the Free University of Bolzano, Italy. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Electrical Engineering and a M.S in Computer Science. His research interests are: Agile Methodologies, Open Source Development, Empirical Software Engineering, Software Product Lines, Software Reuse, and Software Engineering over the Internet. The Center for Applied Software Engineering (CASE), was founded by Dr. Giancarlo Succi with the objective of promoting excellence in research and collaboration between the industry and the university in the area of Applied Software Engineering. The key research areas are: Experimental Software Engineering and Knowledge Bases, Software Quality, Development of Service Oriented Systems and Software Metrics.

Since the 1st of February Dr. Klaus-Dieter Schewe (51) is the new scientific director of the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH). Before changing to the competence center in Hagenberg, he has been working for about 10 years in New Zealand. Transnational research project on stomach cancer
The Austrian programme on genomic research, GEN-AU got involved in several transnational research projects. Within GEN-AU the project CANCERMOTYSIS focuses on new therapeutic options for advanced stomach cancer.
