ThisWay Global launches AI software platform to transform the recruitment industry
ThisWay Global, a Cambridge-based company, founded and developed at ideaSpace at University of Cambridge, launched its Artificial Intelligence (AI) software platform, GPS, at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.ThisWay’s platform streamlines the recruitment process by matching high-quality candidates to the most relevant job opportunities using its machine learning algorithms.
Their AI technology reduces the costs and time of hiring through taking care of the high-tech and most fatiguing aspects of recruitment, so recruiters can focus their time and energy on critical high-touch aspects.
The machine-learning platform is used to enhance the recruitment process for businesses and individuals across a number of sectors, particularly in scientific, professional and technical sectors.
ThisWay also partners with recruiters to help augment the talent acquisition process – its AI software platform complements the search process.
The best and most innovative companies realise that increasing diversity and inclusion gives them a competitive advantage and increases their ROI. ThisWay’s de-biasing methodology and proprietary network of API’s (application program interface) provides a much broader pool of quality and diverse candidates for their customers, across the globe.
Angela Hood, CEO at ThisWay Global, commented:
”The recruitment process has been stuck in a time warp for centuries – it’s still based on manual applications and time consuming resume reviewing and processing, mostly still done on paper.
“Our web and mobile AI machine learning platform transforms this industry – which is why we are trusted by top multinational companies to help find the best candidates for the right jobs.
“GPS finds the right candidate for the employer and the right opportunity for the candidate, without bias, using machine-learning algorithms.
“For corporates, finding the right applicants is time consuming and expensive, frequently with disappointing results as candidates often apply for the wrong jobs.
“For individuals, it can be a frustrating and a singularly disheartening process – this platform will help them navigate in a more diverse and fragmented employment environment.
“We also work very closely with recruiters and recruitment agencies to make the talent acquisition process less labour intensive, giving them more time to focus on what really matters. We are quickly becoming the trusted tech-friend of the best recruiters.
“As well as broadening the pool of candidates, more importantly because of the machine learning, better candidates with more diversity are short listed, more quickly.
“GPS removed the inherent bias we all have reviewing resumes. Candidates’ also have bias’ and ThisWay’s methodology also introduces businesses to candidates in a way that is revolutionising the industry.”
ThisWay had almost 60,000 candidates signed up for beta testing, as well as top employers, including consultancies, global legal firms and other HR tech companies.
The Software as a Service (SaaS) web and mobile platform features can be used stand alone or seamlessly integrated into existing CRM and ATS systems. It is scalable and therefore affordable for small companies as well as multinationals.
The Company was incubated at ideaSpace, Hauser Forum, within the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge. The Group’s development team includes researchers and advisors from the University of Cambridge and University College London (UCL) who have secured five patents for it AI technology. ThisWay’s management team have several successful exits and IPO’s to their name.
A totally private platform that uses unique innovative technology to attract the right people to the right jobs.
ThisWay’s technology, including our machine learning Match-ic algorithm, helps businesses reach out to both passive and active candidates that are attracted to your role. Our engagement, selection, prescreening and optimization tools work for businesses of all shapes and sizes.
However, ThisWay’s technology is not just for those who understand technology. B2B and consumer facing startups, technology companies, SME’s and enterprise businesses simply tell us where their hiring pains are and our wide range of hiring tools cure them.
