Commuters ‘Dump The Pump’ June 19th and Opt for Fuel-Free, Zero-Emission, Trikke Carving Vehicles

Los Angeles, CA – June 17, 2008 – With gas prices threatening to break the $5.00 a gallon barrier, the third annual National Dump the Pump Day on June 19th could not be coming at a better, or possibly more painful, time. Organized by American Public Transportation Association and supported by transit systems across the country, Dump the Pump is annual observation intended to highlight the importance of using public transportation and non-fossil fuel forms of commuting to reduce America’s dependence on oil and protect the environment.

Although this year’s publicity blitz will undoubtedly resonate strongly with drivers feeling greater pain at the pump than ever before, many commuters are old hands at fossil-free methods to get around while their cars and trucks sit unused. For example, owners of the Trikke Carving Vehicle, a chainless three-wheeled vehicle, say they’ve have been using the lightweight device as a bona fide transportation option for some time.
