Thunder Laser USA Launches Nova Pro 35 With 2,000 mm/s Engraving Speed and a Factory-Installed Print-and-Cut Camera

QUITMAN, Texas, November 5, 2026 - Thunder Laser USA has launched the Nova Pro 35 (https://www.thunderlaserusa.com/nova-pro-35/), the first machine in a new Nova Pro series of CO2 laser cutting and engraving systems (https://www.thunderlaserusa.com/laser-engraving-machines/) aimed at production shops running personalized and short-run work. The 35-inch model is available now, starting at $12,500 for the 60-watt configuration.

The Nova Pro 35 offers a 35.4 by 23.6 inch work area with front and rear pass-through doors, allowing long stock such as signs, boards and runners to be fed straight through the machine rather than being limited by bed length.

An AC servo drive raises top speed to 2,000 mm/s

The headline change is motion. An AC servo on the X axis, using a Leadshine servo drive, takes top engraving speed to 2,000 mm per second with 4G acceleration. The company puts that at 67 percent faster in top speed and 60 percent more acceleration than its existing Nova Plus series, which runs at 1,200 mm per second and 2.5G.

Acceleration matters more than top speed on most real jobs, because an engraving head spends much of a raster pass speeding up and slowing down rather than travelling at its maximum. Thunder Laser USA specifies positioning accuracy of 0.0004 inches at full speed.

Print and cut without a jig

Every Nova Pro ships with a head camera installed at the factory, alongside an overhead camera, and both operate inside LightBurn.

The camera enables registration-based print and cut. An operator prints a full sheet on a UV printer with registration marks around the designs, places the sheet on the bed without aligning it to a corner, and the head camera locates the marks so that LightBurn can match every cut path to the printed artwork, correcting for a sheet that sits crooked. The process works on leatherette, acrylic, wood and other materials.

That removes the physical jigs short-run printed products have traditionally required, which is the step that makes small batches of patches, tags and labels uneconomic for many shops.

Air pump and exhaust fan built into the cabinet

The Nova Pro cabinet houses the air pump and exhaust fan internally, and both switch on and off with each job. On previous Nova Plus machines these sat outside the enclosure as separate equipment.

Other changes include enclosed side rails that keep smoke and debris off the bearings and belts, dual-channel air assist with a digital flow display and low-pressure protection that pauses a job if air pressure drops, and a five-inch capacitive touchscreen carried over from the company's Bolt and Titan machines, showing file previews, job time, status icons and plain-language alerts.

Further specifications include 8.9 inches of motorized Z travel, a maximum platform load of 331 pounds for stone, slate and heavy stock, autofocus across all four available lenses, and ten door sensors that stop the laser the moment a door is opened.

Sizes, power options and pricing

The Nova Pro 35 is offered at 60 watts for $12,500 and 80 watts for $14,650, with 100-watt and 120-watt configurations available as special orders at $22,550 and $25,000. Financing is available.

Two larger beds complete the series: the Nova Pro 51 at 51.2 by 35.4 inches from $14,950, and the Nova Pro 63 at 63.0 by 39.4 inches from $19,550.

All machines include a two-year warranty, a LightBurn license, free one-on-one training and US-based support.
