Bitcoin (BTC) Beat Every Major Coin in October, So Why Is It Still

Bitcoin slipped back under $80,000 this week, yet it still ended October ahead of every other major coin. A review of the largest tradable coins found BTC posted the smallest monthly loss of the group, even as its price stalled.

That relative strength has not turned into a rally. With a large options expiry on Friday and the monthly close on Saturday, any Bitcoin price prediction now hinges on whether buyers can defend the current range.

Traders who position for that move also look for faster ways to read the market. One of them is MEMASA ($MEMASA), an upcoming AI trading app that lets users research and trade crypto through a chat.

Bitcoin Price Prediction: October's Best Performer Still Can't Break Free

Bitcoin lost about 4% in October, the smallest drop among the biggest coins, a cryptoticker.io analysis of CoinGecko data shows.

The rest of the field fared far worse, falling about 16% on average over the same stretch.

Cardano took the hardest hit, while Ether, XRP and Solana all shed double digits. Still, beating a weak field is not the same as rising, and October is heading for a second straight red close.

The bigger problem sits with ETF holders, whose estimated average cost is near $81,500, leaving many of them underwater. That makes Friday's options expiry and Saturday's monthly close the next real tests for market sentiment.

Support at $76,500 Is the Line to Watch

Bitcoin now trades just under $80,000, down nearly 5% over the past week.

The nearest strong support sits near $76,500, while resistance waits much higher around $88,900.

Technical indicators lean bearish, so for any near-term Bitcoin price prediction, a break below support could open a slide toward $69,500.

A move back above the ETF cost basis would ease the pressure and give buyers a path toward resistance. While BTC struggles to escape its range, a different kind of project is preparing to enter the market.

MEMASA Launches an AI Trading App with Less Chart Staring and More Smart Decisions

MEMASA is an upcoming AI-powered crypto trading app that lets people research, buy, and sell cryptocurrencies by chatting with an AI assistant.

Instead of studying complicated charts, tracking hundreds of tokens, or switching between trading platforms, users will be able to ask MEMASA questions in plain language.

For example: "Can BTC hold $80,000 through Friday's options expiry?" MEMASA will analyze market indicators, trading activity, and sentiment to explain what the available data suggests.

MEMASA tackles problems almost every on-chain trader knows: too many charts, too much noise, fraud tokens, and endless switching between apps. It brings market analysis, risk checks, and trading into one AI-powered chat.

That gives MEMASA a real shot at attracting a wide audience, from crypto newcomers to seasoned traders. MEMASA is preparing for launch, so anyone wishing can join a waitlist for early access to the app.

How to Join MEMASA Waitlist (https://memasa.xyz/)

Bitcoin Price Prediction vs. $MEMASA's Pre-Listing Upside
BTC and $MEMASA are in different leagues: Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency that depends on ETF flows and broad market sentiment, while $MEMASA is a utility token powering the MEMASA trading ecosystem. Its proposed role is directly connected to how people use the app.

$MEMASA will support several functions:

Premium AI intelligence: Access to advanced market analysis and trading insights.
Trading fee discounts: Reduced fees for eligible platform activity.

Analyst and agent staking: Analysts and AI agents stake $MEMASA to list their strategies and signals.

Marketplace payments: Transactions involving intelligence services and trading strategies.

Curation and contributor rewards: Incentives for participants who contribute useful signals and help curate the ecosystem.

Fixed Supply and Early Access to $MEMASA

Like BTC, which has a capped supply, $MEMASA has a fixed token supply. The token structure also includes long-term team vesting and transparent unlock schedules.

MEMASA is offering an on-chain early sale, giving participants early access to $MEMASA before broader market availability. The earlier stages offer lower token prices, while later stages provide faster unlocks.

BTC is a large, mature asset that now trades well below its record high and struggles to break out of its range. MEMASA is preparing for launch, with its on-chain early sale offering tokens below the anticipated market price.

However, future returns will depend on successful app development, user adoption, and demand for $MEMASA. Higher potential also comes with higher risk.

The Week Ahead

Bitcoin enters the final days of October as the strongest of the major coins, but still pinned just below a level that matters to ETF buyers.

Holding support near $76,500 through Friday's options expiry would keep the range intact, while a reclaim of the ETF cost basis could shift sentiment back toward buyers.

MEMASA faces a different test. Its token sells for $0.0155 in the current sale stage, and the project now needs to turn an AI trading concept into an app people use every day. Both BTC's path and MEMASA's outcome remain uncertain, and higher potential comes with higher risk.

About Memasa

MEMASA is a self-custodial trading app with an AI copilot. It reads on-chain data, smart-money moves and social hype, explains what matters in plain language, and lets you act in one tap.

Trading volume on Solana's decentralized exchanges fell about 24% over the past week, DefiLlama data showed on Wednesday, as activity in newly launched tokens faded. The slowdown comes as SOL slips just under $100 and the Fed's rate decision hits thin markets. For any Solana price prediction, the key question is whether buyers can defend support near $84. Traders weighing that risk also watch early-stage projects built around smarter trading.…

Pepe (PEPE) jumped 14.5% on Tuesday and led a daily market review of five major coins, according to The Crypto Basic Price Desk. The same report noted XRP clearing resistance and Hyperliquid flashing a bullish signal. The frog-themed meme coin has since cooled slightly and trades just under $0.000005. For any Pepe price prediction, the real test is a ceiling near $0.0000054 that will show whether the spike had staying power. Traders…

XRP Price Prediction: The Stablecoin Threat Behind a 'Modest' $4 Target for 2030
Can XRP really triple by the end of the decade? One Motley Fool contributor thinks it can, and he calls a $4 target for 2030 the modest case, not the bullish one. That target would still mean a new all-time high, and the author flags a real threat: stablecoins could take over XRP's role in cross-border payments. For now, XRP trades near $1.29, down about 14% this month, with sellers in…

For XRP to reach $1,000, it would need to rise roughly 758 times from today's price. That question resurfaced after federal regulators gave Ripple final approval to operate as a U.S. national trust bank. Bitcoin Price Prediction: Will BTC's 'Sharp Move' Break $80,000 Support Toward t …
Analysts at Secure Digital Markets warned this week that Bitcoin's volatility has dropped to about 6%, a squeeze they say often ends with a sharp move. The warning lands as the Federal Reserve holds its two-day meeting. That makes the next few days a real test for any Bitcoin price prediction. BTC trades just above $80,000, stuck in one of its tightest ranges in months, and the Fed decision could be…

The crypto market feels cautious this week, with traders waiting for a clear signal before taking on new risk. Meme coins sit at the center of that hesitation, and a fresh Grok-attributed forecast puts Pepe (PEPE) back in focus with a year-end range up to $0.000015. That target matters because PEPE still trades about 85% below its late-2024 high. Any credible Pepe price prediction now hinges on whether buyers can push…

XRP holders hoping for a life-changing run by the end of the decade may need to reset expectations. A fresh analysis finds that a $100 XRP would require a market value larger than the entire crypto market today. That verdict lands while the token is already under pressure after a rough October. XRP trades just above a key support zone, and any near-term XRP price prediction now depends on whether buyers…

Remittix (RTX) is closing in on its presale ceiling, with about $33 million raised against a $36 million cap. The latest wave of interest follows a plan to burn 20% of the token supply at launch. The stakes are rising because RTX has not traded on the open market yet. Its first public listing will show whether supply cuts and presale demand can turn into lasting interest from buyers once trading…
BTC Stuck Near $80K Ahead of Fed and Options Expiry, While MEMASA Draws Attentio …
Bitcoin (BTC) dipped to roughly $79,200 over the weekend before sellers rejected a bounce near $81,000. The largest cryptocurrency now sits pinned near $80,000 ahead of a crowded week. Wednesday's Fed rate decision and a large options expiry on Friday could decide which way the range breaks. Tight ranges like this often resolve sharply, and a BTC recovery tends to pull major altcoins along with it. Traders who position for that move…
