Axiom Aviation Opens Idaho Falls Flight School With October 17 Open House

The new flight training campus at Idaho Falls Regional Airport will open to the public on Saturday, October 17, with free drop in tours, aircraft and simulator demonstrations.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - October 12, 2026 - Axiom Aviation will open its new Idaho Falls flight school to the public on Saturday, October 17, with a free open house at Idaho Falls Regional Airport running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The campus at 2000 International Way is the flight school's third location and its first in Idaho, bringing professional pilot training to Eastern Idaho at the field most of the region already flies out of. Visitors can drop in at any point during the day without an appointment.

The open house is built around the questions people actually ask before they commit to training. Prospective students and their families can meet the Idaho Falls instructors and staff, see the training aircraft and simulators up close, walk through the available programs, and ask about financing and the route into a professional flying career.

"This open house gives people in Eastern Idaho an opportunity to see firsthand what becoming a pilot actually looks like," said Spencer Jones, flight instructor at Axiom Aviation. "Whether someone has always dreamed of learning to fly or is seriously considering aviation as a career, we want them to be able to come in, meet our instructors, see the aircraft and understand the steps it takes to get there."

Training at the Idaho Falls campus runs from a first discovery flight through the Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate and Multi-Engine privileges, to the flight instructor certificates students use to build hours toward an airline job. The school is a partner in the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program, which gives eligible students a defined route toward a regional airline flight deck.

Anyone who would rather not visit on a busy Saturday can book a private tour by appointment instead, meeting the team one to one to talk through their own training and career goals.

Two offers run alongside the opening. Prospective pilots who schedule an introductory flight during the open house receive a discount on it, and current pilots can ask about the October discount on high performance endorsements, the sign off required to act as pilot in command of an aircraft with more than 200 horsepower.

Axiom Aviation is a flight school training pilots at three airports in the western United States: Idaho Falls Regional Airport (KIDA) in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Ogden Hinckley Airport (KOGD) in Ogden, Utah, and St. George Regional Airport (KSGU) in St. George, Utah. The school follows an FAA approved curriculum covering discovery flights, the Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Multi-Engine privileges and flight instructor certificates, along with a Zero to Hero pathway for students starting with no previous experience. Axiom Aviation is a partner in the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program and holds academic partnerships with Purdue Global and Thomas Edison State University, so students can earn academic credit while they train. Idaho Falls is the newest of its three campuses.
