Trumbone Releases Indigo, Bringing Scene-to-Scene Consistency to AI Video
Trumbone Indigo: a Property Tour, a Photo Look and a music video shot, all made on the platform.
The release centers on a problem that has limited AI video since it became usable: a three minute video is roughly fifty separate clips, and the model generating shot forty has never seen shot two. Guitars change color. Rooms are redecorated between visits. Indigo introduces Scene DNA, which reads a script, identifies every person, object and location it returns to, and generates a reference picture for each one. Every later shot that needs that guitar is handed the same picture of it.
Trumbone described the release as aimed first at musicians. Indigo adds features like Photo Looks and Property Tours, the company said, but the larger change is as a creative tool for musicians, helping them bring their visions to life in a way that was previously unattainable for most. A new generation of DIY bands and artists can now make the video they have always wanted for their song.
Indigo also opens Trumbone to people who are not making a video at all. Photo Looks takes a photograph from a phone and returns it in any of twenty-four treatments, from an oil portrait to claymation to a studio headshot suitable for a professional profile. Subjects remain recognizably themselves. When a result is close but not right, users describe the change they want in their own words, and every earlier version is kept.
Property Tours builds a walkthrough video from the photographs on a real estate listing, set to music and branded with the agent's own cards and overlays. The camera moves only within what was photographed, so the tour shows the house as it was shot rather than a version of it the model invented.
Alongside the new features, Indigo improves video quality, lip sync realism and scene consistency across the platform.
