Coherent Market Insights Named Official Process Advisor for the Fi India Awards 2026

Mumbai, August 2026 - Coherent Market Insights (CMI) has been appointed as the Official Process Advisor for the Fi India Awards 2026, organized by Informa Markets. The role isn't ceremonial. CMI designed and ran the entire evaluation backbone of the awards - nomination screening, due diligence, documentation checks, category alignment, and jury governance - so that when winners are named at the ceremony on August 26 at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai, the recognition actually means something.

The process opened with self-nomination, and 241 entries came in across 16 award categories. Of those, 32 were drafts or incomplete and got filtered out early, leaving 209 for detailed review. CMI's team then went through each one by checking category fit, documentation, and whether the claims being made actually held up, alongside a legal and reputational screen for red flags.

Not every gap meant disqualification, though. Where something was fixable - a missing certificate, an unclear launch date, inconsistent company details - CMI reached out to the nominee for clarification instead of rejecting outright. That back-and-forth mattered: of the 209 nominations reviewed, 161 made it through to jury evaluation. The rest were dropped for reasons ranging from incomplete evidence to duplication or claims that couldn't be substantiated.

From there, the independent jury took over. CMI split the 161 approved nominations across three panels, each built around a theme - food safety and sustainability, ingredients and wellness, and brand/commercial growth. Panel 1 handled 57 nominations and shortlisted 18 finalists. Panel 2 reviewed 49 and picked 9. Panel 3 covered 55 and narrowed it to 20. Scoring ran on a 1-10 scale across six parameters - category fit, scale, compliance, impact, innovation, growth - and where scores landed close together, a tie-break review settled it. The top three in each category moved forward, adding up to 47 finalists across all 16 categories.

One thing worth calling out: the scoring wasn't just a straight tally of business metrics. 60% of the weightage went to objective, evidence-based factors. The other 40% covered qualitative brand differentiation: market perception, digital engagement, governance, how well-documented the evidence itself was. That mix was deliberate, aimed at rewarding companies that are both operationally sound and genuinely shaping how the industry thinks about itself.

What CMI didn't do

Worth being explicit about this: CMI never decided who won. That call sat entirely with the independent jury. CMI's job stopped at eligibility, evidence, and process integrity - building the funnel, not judging what came out the other end.
