ZQ Platforms Appoints Veteran Technology Executive Alex Mercer as Chief Executive Officer

ORLANDO, Florida - ZQ Platforms Inc., an early-stage technology company developing software platforms and developer infrastructure for the blockchain sector, today announced the appointment of Alex Mercer as Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors, effective August 17, 2026.

Mr. Mercer takes on full responsibility for the company's day-to-day management, operations, strategy and technology direction, and will lead ZQ Platforms from the company's executive offices in Florida.

Mr. Mercer brings more than twenty years of experience building and scaling enterprise cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

"He has spent two decades running the kind of infrastructure we want to put in the hands of independent developers. From today, Alex runs ZQ - the strategy, the operations, the team, the technology. In connection with the appointment, the company is establishing a dedicated executive office in Florida under Mr. Mercer's direction, and expects to deepen its engagement with United States-based independent developers as it builds out its platform roadmap. Manish Prakash continues to serve on the company's Board of Directors, which now comprises three members.
