VivoSim Labs (NASDAQ: VIVS) Among IGC, OSRH, IVF as FDA-Backed

August 17, 2026 - VivoSim Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIVS) is gaining investor attention as its 3D human tissue models, artificial intelligence and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) target one of pharmaceutical development's biggest challenges: identifying drug toxicity before costly clinical trials.

The opportunity comes as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advances initiatives supporting human-relevant alternatives to traditional animal testing. In 2026, the FDA issued draft guidance addressing the validation and use of NAM technologies, including organoids, spheroids, organs-on-chips and computational models, creating a potentially favorable regulatory environment for companies developing advanced preclinical testing technologies.

VivoSim reported that its NAMkind Trademark Liver model achieved 91% predictive accuracy, 90% sensitivity and 95% specificity across a 92-compound clinical small-molecule dataset under repeat-dose conditions. The company's VitroSense Trademark AI platform, trained using data from its human intestinal models, separately achieved a reported 96% predictive accuracy in its training dataset for potential drug-induced diarrhea.

Alongside VivoSim Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIVS), investors are watching several other stocks seeing active early trading, including INVO Fertility, Inc. (NASDAQ: IVF), OSR Health, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSRH) and IGC Pharma, Inc. (NYSE: IGC), with fresh company news adding to investor attention today.

VivoSim is also targeting the growing antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) market, where its liver and intestinal models are being evaluated for their ability to identify toxicity associated with ADC payloads, linkers and other components.

Commercialization is beginning to advance. VivoSim recently announced its first commercial NAMkind sales in mainland China, moving the platform from scientific validation toward paid pharmaceutical applications.

The company has also strengthened its financial position, reporting approximately $10.1 million in cash as of August 3, 2026, following a $5 million milestone payment from Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), additional escrow proceeds and a July financing. VivoSim has reiterated guidance for 500%+ revenue growth in fiscal 2027, driven by its expansion of NAM-based contract research services to pharmaceutical companies.

For investors following VIVS stock, AI biotech, drug toxicity testing, 3D human tissue models, FDA animal-testing alternatives, ADC drug development and New Approach Methodologies, the key question is increasingly whether VivoSim can turn predictive human biology into a scalable pharmaceutical research business.
