Mainstream products will shift from 5N purity toward 6N and higher grades, while control standards for moisture, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrocarbons, and particulates will advance from the ppm level to the ppb level. Gas suppliers must strengthen capabilities in deep purification, clean filling, ultra-trace detection, and high-purity pipeline management, while utilizing digital monitoring systems for real-time management of flow rates, pressure, purity, and inventory.
Supply models will gradually shift from traditional cylinder distribution to "on-site generation or centralized purification + storage tank supply + high-purity pipeline delivery." Large wafer fabs tend to sign long-term supply contracts with industrial gas companies and construct air separation and purification units on-site or near industrial parks to enhance supply security and reduce transportation costs. As argon is a byproduct of air separation, its supply is also influenced by oxygen and nitrogen production volumes and electricity costs; consequently, the industry will increasingly prioritize energy-efficient air separation technologies, regional capacity distribution, the use of renewable energy, and the recovery and repurification of exhaust gases.
