Photomask Substrate for TFT-LCD Manufacturing is a high-precision transparent substrate used to fabricate photomasks for TFT-LCD array processes and color filter processes. This product is primarily made of high-purity synthetic quartz glass, and undergoes processes such as quartz ingot cutting, surface grinding, shaping, chamfering, ultra-precision polishing, cleaning, and defect detection to form a flat substrate with specified dimensions and optical properties.
In the TFT-LCD panel manufacturing process, downstream photomask companies first deposit chromium, chromium oxide, or other light-shielding and semi-transparent thin films on the substrate surface, and then coat it with photoresist according to process requirements, creating a blank mask without the customer's pattern written on it. Subsequently, through laser or electron beam pattern writing, development, etching, photoresist removal, cleaning, inspection, and repair, a finished photomask ready for direct exposure is formed. The finished photomask carries the designed patterns such as gate, active layer, source/drain electrodes, pixel electrodes, black matrix, and RGB color filter layers, and then the pattern is transferred to a large display glass substrate by exposure equipment.
