Tec-Do's Tec-Chi Video Understanding Model Recognized in SuperCLUE Advertising Benchmark
BOSTON, July 22, 2026 - Tec-Do announced that its proprietary AI model, Tec-Chi-VL-1.0-27B, achieved a score of 86.43 in the latest SuperCLUE AdsVU (Advertising Video Understanding) evaluation, placing it among the top-ranked participants. The result highlights Tec-Chi's capabilities in advertising video understanding, a growing area of AI research that extends beyond general visual recognition to include the interpretation of marketing messages, creative elements, and commercial intent embedded in video content.
The evaluation included models from several leading AI developers and technology companies, including ByteDance, Google, Xiaomi, Kimi, Z.AI, and MiniMax. SuperCLUE publicly released the evaluation framework on June 23, and Tec-Chi-VL-1.0-27B participated under the same standardized assessment criteria as other publicly submitted models.
According to SuperCLUE, the results reflect the industry's broader shift from general-purpose visual understanding toward deeper comprehension of marketing semantics and advertising content. The organization noted that the strong performance of industry-focused models demonstrates the increasing viability of specialized AI systems in real-world marketing applications.
Widely recognized within global AI ecosystem, the SuperCLUE Language Understanding Benchmark is considered one of the most influential model evaluation frameworks. Alongside benchmarks such as C-Eval and MMLU, it serves as an important reference for model validation and industry comparison. Hundreds of enterprises and research institutions worldwide have participated in SuperCLUE evaluations.
This marks the second time Tec-Chi has received recognition from SuperCLUE in 2026. In January, Tec-Chi-Think-1.0-32B, the company's reasoning-focused model, ranked first in the SuperCLUE-Mkt Advertising Marketing Model Evaluation, demonstrating strengths in marketing knowledge application, strategic reasoning, and business decision support. The latest AdsVU evaluation expands that scope to multimodal understanding of advertising video content.
Advertising video understanding is widely regarded as a challenging task due to the combination of visual, textual, contextual, and commercial signals that must be analyzed simultaneously. Compared with traditional text-based reasoning tasks, video-based marketing assessments typically involve longer information chains, greater contextual complexity, and more nuanced evaluation criteria.
Tec-Chi-VL-1.0-27B achieved its benchmark performance with a relatively compact 27-billion-parameter architecture. The model is built on Tec-Do's accumulated marketing data resources and domain-specific knowledge, which have been transformed into structured datasets and incorporated into model post-training workflows. This approach enables the model to balance performance, inference efficiency, deployment flexibility, and practical business utility.
Potential applications include creative asset analysis, campaign pre-launch review, advertising content evaluation, creative performance assessment, and marketing strategy optimization. By focusing on specialized marketing use cases, Tec-Do aims to help enterprises integrate AI capabilities into day-to-day marketing operations more efficiently and at scale.
As AI adoption in marketing continues to accelerate, industry demand is increasingly shifting toward systems capable of understanding not only visual content but also the commercial and behavioral signals embedded within creative assets. Tec-Do believes specialized foundation models and AI agents will play an increasingly important role in helping businesses analyze, evaluate, and optimize marketing activities across a broader range of operational scenarios.
